Call for Trustees: extended deadline Friday 10th March 2023

The Glasgow Mathematical Journal Trust is a charity, committed to strengthening mathematics throughout Scotland.  As part of our governance, every 5 years we refresh a subset of our board members, and as part of this we seek to bring two or more people from within the Scottish mathematical community onto the board in 2023.

Board members are Trustees of the charity, which is a legal responsibility, and initially serve a 5 year term.  There are many positives in becoming a Trustee, and these include the ability to pro-actively influence, develop and support mathematics throughout Scotland, whilst furthermore learning about both the wider mathematical community and the broader policy landscape within the publishing and charity sectors.

Board members are not eligible to apply for funding from the GMJT Learning & Research Support Fund.

The call for board members is now open, with extended deadline Friday 10th March 2023.  Please apply by filling out the following ICMS form.  Decisions will be communicated at the end of April 2023.

The GMJT is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion and welcomes applications from all. Applications from women, those with a disability and members of minority ethnic groups, who are currently under-represented at senior levels in the research and innovation community, are especially encouraged.
